The MS Trust is a UK charity dedicated to supporting people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) now. We provide the information you trust and support the health professionals you need. Hi friends, join me in making a difference by supporting a good cause! I'm raising money for Multiple Sclerosis Trust (Trading) Ltd and any donation will help make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to me.
I was diagnosed about 18 months ago but have had symptoms for many years. After a long arduous process I received my formal diagnosis.
One of my most worrying and embarrassing symptoms is that for a while I couldn’t read, and numbers also made no sense. I went from reading 3 books a week to not being able to understand large bodies of text.
I was scared to open mail and running a business I found it increasingly difficult to keep a hold of my business and finances.
I also struggled with my cognitive abilities, balance and walking and being a trained dancer, well you can imagine, I was devastated.
I started treatment just over a year ago and slowly I’ve got better. I’ll never be the same but thanks to my amazing ms nurses and drs I can finally see a new normal for me. I may not be able to pirouette like I used to but last week I taught my first Dance class in over a year and a half.
I have been practicing my reading and one of my goals was to read my friend’s novel that she dedicated to me. So, I’ve decided to read it live on Tiktok every night a few pages and will ask anyone taking part to donate to the ms trust uk.
My friend has promised to send a free signed copy of her book to the highest donor.
So will you help support me?
I may stutter, I may mess up, but I really want to get better.
Thank you ❤️
