Working as part of BSSH team in Malawi
The Lilongwe Institute of Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery (LION) is an autonomous not-for-profit institution in Malawi where BSSH and BAHT aim to work with and train local surgeons, trainees and therapists to deliver and educate in patient care.

Story

The vision of the BSSH BAHT LION Project is to use our resource to deliver maximum possible benefit for patients in need of hand surgery in Malawi through the development and co-ordination of sustainable local education and surgical training.

The funding raised helps volunteers travel to Malawi and perform surgery and therapy with the local team while providing training. It also helps bring out much needed equipment to provide surgery and treatments.
