My lovely dad, Dr Nic Cooper, was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in October 2025 and started hormone therapy and then six courses of chemotherapy every three weeks from December. He fought a hard battle and with each run his memory pushes me on.

I will be running the half marathon in memory of him and all of the other men and their families and friends who have to face this ordeal.
