Hello dear friends, I’m running a half marathon for the small but mighty theatre that has kept me and my family going for so many years and which has given us so much joy (and – frankly – not a small amount of anxiety. ) It’s a wonderful fighting team, making quality art and theatre always, against all the odds, keeping their heads above water. It also invites anyone and everyone through its doors, gives a place for lonely people and unique people and people who don’t have money and people who never ever thought they were the sort of person who got involved with theatre until they found themselves involved with Chippy. And at the end of the year it does an enormous, fool hardy, courageous, punching above the odds, glorious panto to shout as loudly as possible about how flipping great they are. And everyone really likes it.

It's an incredible place. One of a clutch of potentially vanishing institutions which need to be loved and cherished.
