Story
So this August I am taking on the Coast to Coast challenge to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.
This means I'll walk a grand total of 304km in 10 days, across the Lake District and the North Yorkshire Moors, touching coast to coast.
This challenge is deeply personal to me. I’m doing this not only for the cause itself, but with my mom and close friends in mind who have experienced this horrible illness. Watching the strength, courage and resilience they’ve shown through something so incredibly tough has been truly inspiring, and it’s a huge part of what’s motivated me to take this on.
This past year has been one of the hardest and most transformative of my life. It's been a journey full of setbacks, resilience, learning my limits and slowly rebuilding my strength, both physically and mentally. There were times when I couldn't even imagine doing something like this, which makes standing at the start line all the more meaningful.
But the journey starts now, where I’ll be training and really putting that can-do mindset to work. It’s not something I’m jumping into lightly, I’ve got a structured training plan in place and will be putting in the miles over the coming months to make sure I’m ready for what’s ahead.
Taking on Coast to Coast feels like a way of reclaiming my strength, testing myself in a new way and proving just how far I’ve come. It’s about showing that even after the toughest times, you can still push yourself further than you ever thought possible.
It’s going to be uncomfortable and exhausting, but it’s exactly the kind of challenge I’m excited to throw myself into, especially for such an amazing cause!
Big love,
Anna xxxx
