Story
Dear Friends,
You may be surprised about this late fundraiser, with 3 weeks to go. It took time for me to be clear that I have it in me to run the 21.1 K on the 24th of May 2026.
If you can donate to this important charity , your money will help people who are currently ill, or become ill in the future with this still poorly understood and devastating disease. You will further research that is going on and open doors to new understanding and treatments of pancreatic cancer .
And your generosity will motivate me to do my bit.
Thank you.
Anna
Please read on:
"We are Pancreatic Cancer UK.
We go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.
We bring more breakthroughs through research, more change through campaigning, and more support through our expert nurses. We make more noise because people have gone unheard. We are relentless because the disease is ruthless. We care more because people feel forgotten."
UPDATE:
Thank you for your support and donations !
I joined over 12000 runners yesterday and completed the 13.1 miles from Edinburgh to Musselburgh. It was an emotional ( and rather hot) 🔥 day, and when the going got tough, the knowledge of your friendship and generosity kept me on track.
And most importantly, we raised over £ 800 for Pancreatic Cancer UK together.
I’ll keep the page open for another week for anyone who wishes to contribute some more; while the run is over, the cause remains as important as before!
Much love
Anna xx
