Story
Here we go again!
I completed my first marathon last October in Chelmsford, realising my goal of running 42km before I turned 40.
Once you've done it, you'll go one of two ways; you'll never run again or you'll become an obsessive marathon runner!
In July I discovered that I had been lucky enough to get a ballot place for the London Marathon and I realised that I didn't have a choice! Luckily Chelmsford was actually quite fun so I don't feel the terror of having to do it all over again!
Whilst the joy of a ballot place is that I don't have to raise money I want to! As I did for the London Landmarks Half, I will be raising money for Parkinson's UK and using my very snazzy named team top. It really helped as so many people shouted my name as I was running around which kept me going to complete the first half I had done with no stopping. I absolutely will be walking some of this, I'm not Supergirl, but I aim to finish it with a smile on my face and a decent tune in my headphones.
So now it's your turn. Please do donate as much as you can to help people like my dad and my uncle who both experience the disease at the coal face and to support the people who live with them. Whatever you can give will be so gratefully received by me and the charity. I will be posting a weekly update about how the training is going here: https://annasatobjourney.blogspot.com/
