National Three Peaks Challenge in 24hours, 24-25 May 2025

We're Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). We care for children throughout Scotland with life-shortening conditions and their families. We make sure that no matter how short their time together may be, it is filled with happiness. Even in the pain of grief, we're determined that joy lives on.

Story

Hi,

Thank you for taking time to visit our Just Giving page.

Our family of 4 completed this challenge in June 2022–3 Peaks in 3 Days raising money for Rachel House – Children Hospice in Kinross 💛💗💚

"The mountains are calling, and I must go. – John Muir…

... and we are coming back… 🏔️❤️💙🩷💚💛💜

This time on 24th May 3 members of our family myself Anna, my husband Slawek and our 11 years old daughter Liliana are going to take on this amazing -adventurous challenge and will try to do it in 24 hours!

Liliana is finishing Primary School this year and along with doing 3 Peaks Challenge she also set a goal to complete 100 Munros by end of P7 which is by June 2025.

We will be raising money for the same Children Hospice in Kinross – Rachel House 💗

We love hiking, spending time in nature, camping and exploring.

“Hiking is one of the simplest and most beautiful ways to experience nature. We don’t need expensive equipment or any special knowledge. All we need are a pair of comfortable shoes and the desire to get going.”

The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland (Ben Nevis 1,345 m), England (Scafell Pike 978 m) and Wales (Snowdon 1,085 m).The challenge covers a total distance of 23 miles (37km) of hiking, a total ascent of 3,064m and around 462 miles (744km) of driving.

CHAS is a children's charity, providing unwavering care for children who may die young and their families across the whole of Scotland.

CHAS are committed to making sure that, no matter how short a family’s time together may be, that it is time filled with happiness and fun. They give children experiences they cannot have elsewhere – to feel the wind and sunshine on their faces, to sparkle, to laugh, and to have those memorable moments of joy – moments that will be treasured forever.

CHAS is a registered charity that provides the country's only hospice services for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

The majority of CHAS 's funding comes from the generosity of the public donations. Right now, they only have enough money to help one in three families that means, quite simply, that CHAS needs to raise more money.

The end of life deserves as much beauty, care and respect as the beginning. — Anonymous
