Story
Anna and Becs are taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge!
On the 13th of May this year, we will be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales. In total we will hike 26 miles and ascend over 3,000 metres in 24 hours! Our goal is to raise funds for Ashbury Primary school which sits at the heart of a wonderful small village community in Ashbury, Oxfordshire.
The past 3 years have been particularly challenging for small community schools like Ashbury to raise the extra funds they rely upon to pay for classroom resources, trips and experiences. In total Ashbury educates 88 children across 4 classrooms. The school's team of teachers and support staff are passionate about enhancing the children's learning experiences, both in and outside of the classroom.
The new Friends of Ashbury committee, appointed in January 2023 asked the school for a wish list of items teachers would dearly love to have for their classrooms, shared learning spaces and outdoor play areas. The list ranges from paints, pencils and books to sensory learning toys, musical instruments and sports equipment. We intend to use the money we raise climbing the peaks to make their wishes come true!
Thank you so much in advance for your support.
