Annabel, Jennifer and Pete's fundraiser for Elliot Dallen Trust

Race for Life Bournemouth 10km and Hadrian's Wall (100km) Trek
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The Elliot Dallen Trust (EDT) has launched its first "Elliot's Birthday Challenge". On 15th November 2024 Elliot would have turned 36 but, tragically, he died of adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) aged just 31.
The aim of this year’s “Elliot's Birthday Challenge” is to raise money for St Christopher’s Hospice in London, which was the first hospice set up in the UK by Dr Cicely Saunders (founder of the modern hospice movement). This is where Elliot received much needed care and support near the end of his short life. The hospice provides free care for all patients at their most vulnerable time. Elliot was so grateful for this care and therefore it is one of the charities which he wanted to support.
This year, all 3 EDT charity trustees (Elliot’s mum, dad and sister) will be completing their own challenges to raise money for the charity. We would be absolutely delighted to receive sponsorship, and all donations will go to St Christopher's Hospice.
The trustees never claim any expenses and, of course, any costs incurred in completing their challenges will be paid for by themselves.
- Elliot's dad, Pete, will be running the Race for Life Bournemouth 10K, which is on Sunday 15th June 2025.
- Elliot’s mum, Jen, and sister, Annabel, will both be walking over 100km along Hadrian’s Wall in June 2025.
The aim of “Elliot's Birthday Challenge” is to encourage people to identify a challenge, which would give them a great sense of achievement, whilst raising money to do good in the world. Elliot believed strongly that people benefit from challenging themselves to help them grow and improve as a person. His diagnosis made the fragility and preciousness of life crystal clear, both to him and those that knew him, and he wanted to ensure people made the most of their time and sometimes pushed themselves outside of their comfort zone.
The Elliot Dallen Trust plans to make this an annual event, renewed every 15th November, which is Elliot's birthday.
If you would prefer to complete your own challenge you can set up your own Just Giving page and choose the Elliot Dallen Trust as your chosen charity. If you choose this option, don't forget to tell us about it by completing a pledge on the Elliot Dallen Trust website.
