Story
I'm running Norwich Half Marathon 24th November. Most folks know I like running, so why on earth am I asking you to donate while I do something I enjoy?!
I haven't actually run a half marathon since 2018, with running confidence definitely having a wobble after the joy of having my beautiful daughter Ada and all the fun changes pregnancy brings 🤣 13 miles is a challenge for me, but one I'm determined to rise to. To keep me committed, I decided to use the challenge to raise funds for East Anglia Children's Hospice. They provide services to children with life-limiting conditions, some of whom I'm privileged to work with. They support families too, and provide therapies, spiritual support and respite breaks as well as caring for children in their last phase of life. Please do check out their website for more information about how, what and why they work.
Training during the autumn months hasn't been the easiest, and I've been tired and sometimes wanted to curl up instead of getting out. Luckily my copilot Ada has encouraged me to take her in the buggy and lovely husband Al is coming with me on training runs these last few weeks. Follow me on Strava if you want to chuckle at my progress.
Anything you can donate is much appreciated xx.
