Throughout my education I have been very fortunate to participate in endless sporting opportunities. During this time I learnt valuable skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication and relationship building. Aside from this, sport was (and remains) an important vector for fun, a way to connect with others, and to channel any negative mindsets and convert them into a positive one.

The Coach Core foundation therefore resonated with me due to the dual benefit offered to communities through sport. It is a social mobility charity that uses the long-term power of sport and apprenticeships to change the lives of young adults across the UK who traditionally experience barriers, discrimination and lack of opportunities.

They target 16-24 year olds and deliver an inclusive and impactful sports coaching apprenticeship that develops the talents of young people and provides them with a range of vital skills for sport, work and life.
