Anna Runs a Half Marathon for Children’s Charity: Mango Tree Goa

Anna D'Mello is raising money for Mango Tree Goa

The Big Half 2025 · 7 September 2025 ·

Founded in 2012 Mango Tree Goa is a UK registered charity which supports disadvantaged children from slums and similar conditions in Goa, India, regardless of their religion, caste or gender. We believe that children have the right to a healthy, educated childhood and that education is the main route out of poverty. Our projects therefore focus on education and help marginalised children access and remain in mainstream school. We recognise that good health is essential for educational success and provide daily meals for all of the children at our projects.

Story

I’m running the Big Half for Mango Tree Goa!

This year I’ve decided to embark on a huge challenge, but I’m doing it with a really important goal in mind.

I’m raising money for Mango Tree Goa, a small but amazing charity that gives disadvantaged children in Goa the chance of a brighter future.

Many children in Goa grow up in tough circumstances. For many, school just isn’t an option. Mango Tree Goa helps by providing the basics (meals, uniforms, books, and healthcare) so that kids can learn, grow, and enjoy being children.

This cause feels especially close to me because my family are from Goa.

By donating, you’ll be helping Mango Tree Goa keep over 200 children learning, laughing, and dreaming big.

This run is going to be tough, but knowing that each mile supports children who are working hard for a brighter tomorrow will keep me going all the way to the finish line.

Please donate whatever you can, it truly makes a difference.

And if you can’t, just sharing this page would mean the world to me.

Really appreciate the support! 💛
