Aberdeen Arts Centre is threatened with closure if they don’t raise £180,000 by July 1st. So many local amateur groups use this wonderful theatre, including my beloved Gang Show. We couldn’t go anywhere else to perform and would have to end. Our group and so many others are a lifeline to so many children and adults, giving them confidence, promoting skills and friendship groups. It would be disastrous for so many, including me.

I’ve been on the Arts Centre stage myself as a student in the Operatic Society in the 70s; Hazel danced and sang there in numerous children’s shows and both Adam and Hazel performed in many Gang Shows, as well as over 20 years of being a wardrobe mistress for GS myself.

So I’m asking you help. I know everyone is asking for donations these days so I’m sewing like mad to sell you tote bags, drawstring bags and bowl cosies instead, with all the money going to the Arts Centre.
