On the 13 April 2023 our oldest son Alan should be celebrating his 40th birthday. Alan passed away suddenly on 5 June 2005 from undiagnosed cardiomyopathy. The next few weeks were always going to be difficult for the family so we decided to try and do something positive in his memory. On Saturday 8th of April the whole family is going to attempt to walk from the old Lewis Hospital where Alan was born and spent the first few weeks of his life to his grandparents home in Gress and then back to town passing the various houses he lived in and finishing at his last home on Jamieson Drive. A distance of about 20 miles and hopefully raise some money for BHF Lewis and Harris group. Most of the family is taking part, maybe not all doing the full 20 miles!! The youngest is aged 3 and the oldest 83 and many ages in between.
