Story
On behalf of my organisation, h2h, I will be running the Great North Run in September to raise money for the Rainbow Trust. Our wonderful MD, Susan Binnersley, founder of h2h, first heard of Rainbow Trust almost 30 years ago, when her son, Daniel, was diagnosed with a brain tumour at just three months old. The charity provided her and the family with respite care, sibling support and bereavement counselling, amongst other valuable services.
Any contribution you make will help us to reach our target, to support this amazing charity to continue providing their vital services to more families affected by serious childhood illness.
When a child has a serious illness, family life is turned upside down and time becomes more precious than ever. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support, for as long as is needed. Rainbow Trust supports the whole family including parents, carers, the unwell child, brothers, sisters and grandparents.
