Story
I'm taking part in the November Knitting Challenge to support families facing dementia. Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity.
My lovely mother-in-law, Isabel, sadly passed away in the summer after spending several weeks in hospital during which time her dementia rapidly deteriorated.
When I first met Isabel, she was a total chatterbox. You literally could not get a word in! She was bright, bubbly, sharp as a tack and had a lovely smile. You could just tell she loved having fun and had quite the mischievous side.
Dementia robbed her and her family of that person and we were left completely reeling at how quickly things declined towards the end. It was so sad and upsetting to see. Sadly, dementia doesn’t discriminate and any family could be affected.
She was and still is loved and missed by Tam, Dean, Tony, Keith, Cammy and all the family. Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help and support other families dealing with this.
Thank you ♥️
