Story
My toughest challenge yet: From 18th–21st June 2026, I’ll trek Spain’s dramatic Sierra Nevada mountains, starting from Capileira and summiting Mount Mulhacén (3,482m), mainland Spain’s highest peak. Joined by close friends Clare and Helen, we’ll face steep climbs, stunning valleys, and high-altitude demands over three tough days.
This isn’t my first walking adventure, but it’s definitely the hardest — and my biggest motivation comes from watching 2 very close friends go through cancer treatment at Velindre. Seeing their experience up close has inspired me to step up and help support patients and their families during such difficult times.
That’s why I’m taking on this trek for Velindre Cancer Centre, Wales’ leading cancer care charity. Your donations fund specialist treatments, cutting-edge research, comfort packs for chemo patients, clinical trials, and compassionate support for families facing cancer.
I’m targeting £2,600. Every gift — £5, £20, or whatever you can spare — makes a real difference and brings hope to people across Wales.
Please donate today, and follow my training updates with #SierraNevadaTrek2026.
Thank you so much — wish us luck!
