After months of dedicated training on the Lakeland Fells, Paul and I are excited to embark on a journey to Peru this September, where we will tackle the breathtaking Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. This journey is not just a physical challenge; it is an opportunity to raise vital funds and increase awareness for the inspiring work of Glossop and District Volunteer Bureau.

Having been involved with this fantastic charity for a number of years, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact it has on our community. My elderly parents were supported by their volunteer car service in their later years, and they always spoke of the kindness and dignity they received. Now, as a former driver, life skills mentor, and current Trustee, I have experienced the dedication and passion of both paid staff and volunteers who tirelessly work to empower our local communities to lead happier, healthier, and more socially connected lives.
