Story
I’m proud to be fundraising for the Huntington’s Disease Association, a charity that provides vital support to individuals and families affected by Huntington’s disease across England and Wales.
In 2025, my dear friend Billy was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease. I’ve known Billy and his family for over 20 years, and seeing first-hand the impact this devastating genetic condition is having on them has inspired me to take on this challenge.
Huntington’s disease is a life-limiting illness for which there is currently no cure. It affects not only those diagnosed but entire families, bringing enormous emotional, physical, and practical challenges. Through this fundraising effort, I hope to raise both awareness and much-needed funds to support those living with the condition today, while helping to drive research towards a cure in the future.
To support this cause, I will be running a marathon—something I’ve never attempted before. It will undoubtedly be one of the toughest challenges of my life. But whenever the training gets difficult or the miles begin to hurt, I’ll think of Billy. He doesn’t have the option to stop or give up, and that thought will give me the determination to keep moving forward.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Thank you for supporting me, supporting Billy and his family, and helping the Huntington’s Disease Association continue its incredible work.
Together, we can bring hope to those affected by Huntington’s disease and move one step closer to a future without it.
