As you know, our Dad (Gramps), passed away on Monday 20th November 2023.

Dad was diagnosed with Lung cancer last year, and put up an amazing fight, sadly in October this year we found out the cancer was growing again and had spread, and it was one battle that Dad was no longer going to win.

Dads medical needs were changing on a daily basis, and as much as we wanted to keep him at home, it soon became apparent that this was not going to be possible.

We were very fortunate to be given a bed at the Heart of Kent Hospice, as a family we were able to spend precious and quality time with dad in his final days, without the pressure of being his carers and for this we are extremely grateful.

Nothing was too much, the support and care given to Dad was more than we ever could have imagined and for this reason we request that instead of flowers would people kindly donate to this amazing charity, they fully rely on donations and they fully deserve this little gesture.
