Story
My mum left us on Sunday 19th January, having been one of the bravest people I know, for years with what became cancer and never complaining and always making the most of things.
I said to her to go towards the sun and rest, sit in the South of France and wait for us with the sun on her face with a breeze on her face and birds sat tweeting in the trees. She is at peace now and we take some comfort in that though we will miss her forever.
Whilst Mum passed away in Arrowe Park (the staff there were amazing) she had had long term support from the team at St Johns in conjuction with Macmillan and stayed there several times. Mum and all of us felt alot of comfort from the care and kindness of all the staff and the calmness of the setting in such tough times.
We know what a difference they make to people who are in palliative care and near the end of their journey and in mum's memory we would like to ask if you would like to help other people facing the same that mum did. i think she would feel happy with that.
Wirral Hospice St John's relies on donations and fundraising activities to help the charity keep caring for patients and their loved ones at a time of most need. Thank you for your kind support.
Love you Mum xxx
