Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

The lads are ready – but this year, it’s their toughest challenge yet. A massive 80km over 20- 24 walking hours, depending on the heat!

We lost Kev to a brain tumour on May 24th 2019, his older brother, Ges' birthday. This makes the date even more poignant for Ges. So along with his brother-in-law Jim, and close friend Steve – now both proud grandads they have honoured his memory each year with a physical challenge, raising vital funds for Brain Tumour Research.

This year, on what should have been Kev’s 60th birthday, they’re stepping it up. Joined by Kev’s nephew Joe, they’ll take on their most gruelling feat yet: the Race Across Wales - From the Dovey Estuary to the English border at Montgomery.– over 80km in a max of 24 walking hours, with a brutal 2154 metres of ascent.

Ges said "This challenge is tough, but it's nothing compared to what Kev faced."

Please donate if you can – and help us fund the fight.

❤️ Every step is for Kev

💙 Every pound brings us closer to a cure.

Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. They kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.

Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure!
