On 21st September, myself, Emily and Ada the pup, will be taking part in a charity sponsored walk, organised by Chester Business Club, in order to raise funds for Adoption Matters.

It's a 6 mile walk around the beautiful city of Chester - "not particularly arduous" I hear you say, "shouldn't you be jumping out of a plane or something??" Well here's the thing - as a charity, we use as many opportunities as we can to raise important funds to support our adoptive families. The government has recently slashed the Adoption Support Fund by 40%, so right now, every penny (and opportunity) counts to help us continue to offer essential support.

Dare I say, if everyone I know on FB donated even just £1, I would completely smash my target of £150!

I know the event will be an enjoyable one for us, being out in the fresh air with our beautiful pup, but we will always keep in mind the important reason for doing it. So if you can spare a pound (or two), Emily, Ada and I would be eternally grateful.

Adoption Matters is a children's charity and one of the largest voluntary adoption agencies in the UK. We recruit, train and offer on-going support to our families for life.
