Story
We are BUZZING to be taking on the London Marathon in 2026 — and raising money for a fantastic, local cause, the Caldecott Foundation.
As someone who coaches and teaches children — and also as a parent — I’ve seen first hand how one strong, supportive adult and the right environment can make a massive difference in a young person’s life. The Caldecott Foundation excels in exactly that. They provide specialist therapeutic residential care, education and fostering services for children and young people who have had hugely challenging starts in life.
Their approach centres on what they call the “Relational Model” — building safe, nurturing, reparative relationships so children feel secure enough to grow, heal and learn. They don’t just provide care in the moment, but personalised support, therapy, education and life-skills so that children and young people can build futures that are better than their pasts.
That's why this cause matters so much to me. Because in my work and home life I see the potential of kids when they’re given the right space, the belief, the encouragement — and the Caldecott Foundation gives that to children who most need it.
My goal: Run the London Marathon, raise as much as I can for Caldecott, and beat last year’s time of 5hours — and I’m not alone (You didn't think I'd actually run it alone did you!?) I’ll be running alongside my faithful sidekick Laura, who’s been there through training runs, early morning miles and all the ups and downs.
What your support means:
Every donation helps Caldecott deliver life-enriching experiences (sports clubs, theatre trips, residential events) for children in their care. The Caldecott Foundation
It helps fund improvements in facilities, bigger outdoor spaces, vocational education opportunities and the kind of stability that every child deserves. The Caldecott Foundation
It gives hope – real hope – to children whose life story might have started unfairly, but who deserve a chance to build something amazing.
What I’m asking: If you’re able to donate (even a small amount goes a long way), please do. And if you can spare a moment, a share of this page would mean the world too — the more awareness raised, the more support Caldecott can access.
Thank you so much for your encouragement, your donations, your belief in our efforts — and your belief in the children of the Caldecott Foundation. Laura and I are lacing up our trainers, hitting the pavement, and we’re determined to cross that finish line with pride — for them, for us, for you.
