Story
Attending scans, appointments and routine check-ups during pregnancy can be an anxious and deeply triggering experience. When devastating news is delivered, people are often left alone to walk out of the appointment in shock—carrying grief, confusion and silence with them.
I want to help change that.
By joining The Little BIG Book Drop, I hope to place copies of The Worst Girl Gang Ever directly into frontline healthcare services across Uist & Barra, so that people receiving bad news are given something immediate and compassionate to take with them.
The Worst Girl Gang Ever is a survival guide for navigating miscarriage and pregnancy loss. It speaks honestly, gently and without judgement, offering reassurance at a time when words from others often fall short. This campaign would ensure that, in moments of heartbreak, people are not sent home empty-handed.
Each book would be:
• Given at the point of need
• Free to keep
• A reminder that they are not alone
• Something that truly understands loss
This book drop is about dignity, compassion, and being seen at one of the most vulnerable moments a person can experience.
Raising £100 would fund one box of 20 books.
I am running the Great North Run on 13th September and I hope to raise £200 to fund two boxes of books - a box each for Uist and Barra.
Thank you ❤️
