Story
So, as many of you know this year it’s the big 50, 🥳 and it’s been a pretty rough couple of years leading up to it 🙈.
Part of my journey since the assault back in 2022 has been learning to deal with and live with my PTSD … in doing so the gym 🏋️♂️has been a massive focus for my mind, body and soul and through the gym I have found a new love for boxing 🥊 and crazily decided to challenge myself and sign up for a ‘white collar boxing match’ !!! Insane?.. maybe, but never one to walk away from a challenge I’m in, signed up and fight night is Sep 14th. 🥊🥊
Moving on to the next part, I get to raise money for my chosen charities.
As many of you will know I lost my dad very suddenly last year to cancer 🙏 my charities will be Arthur Rank hospice (that cared for him in the kindest way during his last days) and Cancer research UK.
So my commitment is: I’ve signed up, I’m training hard and I’ll be fighting a female of similar age, fitness and skill in a 3 round match whilst raising money for these charities.
Here comes your part… if you are reading this you are a friend of some sort 🤗 and I’m asking if each one of my friends could donate £5 to the cause, I appreciate times are tough for all, but that’s the equivalent of buying me a coffee and the money goes to some really worthwhile causes… I think most of us can say we have been affected in one way or another by the big C. 💜
Life throws us all some curve balls but luckily mine have been ones that I can work on, work with and work through…
These charities help and support people who have no other options.. 😞
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
