Support My Great North Run for Dementia UK

Hi everyone,

This year, I’m taking on the Great North Run, and I’m doing it for a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart. I’m running to raise money for Dementia UK, a charity that provides vital support to families affected by dementia.

Last year, my Mam was diagnosed with both Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia. Watching someone you love face such a challenging journey is heartbreaking, but it’s also inspired me to take action. Dementia UK provides life-changing support through their Admiral Nurses, who help families like mine navigate the complexities of living with dementia. Their guidance and compassion make an incredible difference, and I want to give back by helping fund their work.

My goal is to raise a minimum of £1,000 to ensure that Dementia UK can continue to provide care, advice, and hope to those who need it most. Every penny donated will help families access the vital resources and support they deserve.

Here’s how you can help:

Donate: Any amount, big or small, will make a difference.

Share: If you can’t donate, please share this page with your friends, family, and networks.

Running 13.1 miles will be a challenge, but knowing I’m doing it for my Mam and countless others affected by Dementia will keep me going every step of the way. Together, we can make a real difference for families living with dementia.

Thank you for your support—it means the world to me, my Mam, and so many others.
