The Rob Roy Way · 7 September 2023

To raise vital funds to support veterans and their families in Scotland.

Story

Fundraising has and always will be a vital source of income for us and more so now than ever before. Every £1 raised will help us continue into our next hundred years and to provide comradeship and welfare support for veterans across Scotland.

My name is Tony Hooman (age71) I am a member of Legion Scotland HQ Branch, the Veterans Community Support Coordinator with Unforgotten Forces, and National Parade Marshal but most important a fellow veteran who served in the Royal Corps of Transport.

In 2021 I had the bright idea to walk The West Highland Way solo .

In 2022 I had caught the walking bug and completed The Great Glen Way Fort William to Inverness with both walks it was a great success raising much needed funds for veterans and Poppy Scotland.

Now 2023 on the 7 September I will start my next adventure by walking solo The Rob Roy Way starting at Drymen to Pitlochry, then finish the last bit in Edinburgh with a walk down to the Poppy Factory on Tuesday 12 September hoping to raise as much as possible for Legion Scotland (Veterans Community Support Service) & Poppy Scotland.

I would like to send a special thanks to Morrisons PLC who will match your donations.

Service not self.
