My dad Phillip Martin committed suicide in 2009 after lifelong struggles with addiction and mental health.

When a person takes such an extreme action it sends huge ripples through families and entire communities.

I feel so blessed to have the refuge of songwriting to be able to communicate my deepest personal trauma and I have no idea where I would be without it. I have benefitted hugely from regular counselling and I appreciate that some people aren't as fortunate as I have been.

So on the anniversary of my dad's passing (Friday 7th February) I'm releasing a single called Over & Over which is the song I wrote to help me process my dads passing.

Coincidentally Saturday 8th February is MIND's 'Time To Talk Day' and I'll be busking in the following locations:

Strood High Street: 11:30am

Rochester High Street: 12:30pm

Chatham High Street: 1:30pm

Gillingham High Street: 2:00pm

Raising money for MIND and remembering my dad in the towns he was from.
