Everyone deserves to be happy, and free and live life to their potential and their choosing. Sadly, this is taken away for so many. Human trafficking and other forms of violence to children and women is happening as I type this in 2023! But all is not lost, I have been supporting Oasis for over the last 6 years now and this will be my second MBC. What resonates with me is the dedication, care, and support that Oasis offers to so many. Prevention is better than cure, right? By taking part in this ride, and raising funds and awareness, we will fundamentally impact the grassroots of the work that Oasis does. Communities working as one to build a better future, schools and families being educated to support each other. I am proud to have made friends in India but I’m prouder of what these friends do each day. All of this would not be possible without your support so thank you all for donating so generously. Mukthi Bike Challenge 2023 will take place from 28th Oct to 4th Nov 2023 riding from Bangalore to Mumbai.

We will be riding along the major identified routes and transit areas of human trafficking. We will campaign on the issue of human trafficking along the route, in collaboration with local NGOs, organisations, schools and community-based institutions with major events that depict the urgency of the issue and demands for an organised effort in combating the menace. A synergic and concerted effort of the Government and Civil Society organisations is the need of today. The money raised through this event will go into the grassroots work we do in an effort to prevent human trafficking and to create wholesome, vibrant communities where every man, woman and child is celebrated and respected.

The reason us three from the UK are taking part in this year’s MBC is very simple – it is to raise awareness of human trafficking, especially children, who trust others to keep them from danger. The work that Oasis India does is so important to so many lives. Working with communities that are impacted by human trafficking is such a momentous task and the support Oasis provides enriches so many people. It is just devastating that in this day and age, children and families are at such high risk of being trafficked. Everybody has a right to be able to make a choice for themselves and not to be forced down such a dark path.

Please note all the money goes directly to the charity, and the cost of transport and flights are paid by us individually So please give as much or as little as you can afford, it all adds up and supports the amazing work of Oasis India.
