Glasgow Kiltwalk 2024 · 28 April 2024 ·

We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to kickstart a rewarding future. For 20 years we’ve worked in areas of need across the UK to deliver a structured programme of mentoring, paid internships, masterclasses, and workplace visits.

Story

The Morgan Stanley Career Ready Walkers team are participating in ‘The Big Stroll’ Kiltwalk to raise money for the charity Career Ready. This is a 14.2 mile walk starting from Clydebank through to Loch Lomond on the 28th April 2024. This fundraising will make a difference to young persons across Scotland.

Career Ready is a national social mobility charity, aimed at providing opportunities for young people in secondary education by connecting them to the world of work and unlocking their potential. Career Ready students participate in a two year mentoring programme with a mentor in business, the aim of which is to provide guidance and support as they head towards further education or employment.

Morgan Stanley Glasgow are proud to support Career Ready for over 15 years. We currently have 15 Morgan Stanley mentors supporting students and those students will undertake a four-week paid internship in June 2024. This is designed to give the students the experience of working, gaining valuable skills, confidence and an opportunity to connect with others.

The Morgan Stanley Career Ready Walkers team will participate in the Kiltwalk – Scotland’s largest mass participation walking event with over 145,000 people taking part since 2016.
