Next week I will be leaving for Seattle to start Leg 7 of the 2023/24 Clipper Round the World Race.

I will be racing on Perseverance which is a 70 foot ocean racer for 6 weeks against 10 identical boats. The first race will be from Seattle to Panama. After leaving the Panama canal, the second race will be through the Caribbean and up the East coast of the USA finishing in Washington DC.

UNICEF is the Charity Partner for the Clipper 2023-24 Round the World Yacht Race. I wanted to use the race to remind you all of the important efforts UNICEF makes to ensure that children all over the world get the support they need to grow up happy, healthy, and safe. Our support is even more essential at this time as the world navigates both the impact of climate change on vulnerable populations and a number of wars with devastating effects on the wellbeing of children.
