I thought at 60 my running years were a distant memory, but as my friends and family know, over the last year my better half , Helen, has been through the tough diagnosis of breast cancer. Throughout this time, the way she has dealt with all the treatment has amazed me , hopefully giving us many more years together. A huge thank you goes to all the doctors and nurses who helped us both through this time. I just feel I’d like to raise funds for this great cause as a thank you , so putting my body through The Great North Run seems a small sacrifice .l
