Story
Hi, I’m Ant and I am a Learning Support Worker at InFocus College.
Over the next year, I’ll be running 100 miles across three events, to raise money for the charity I work for, which is incredibly close to my heart.
I’ll be running:
Torbay Half Marathon - Sun 20 Sep
Glasgow to Edinburgh 57 mile Ultra - Sat 10 Oct
Manchester Marathon 2027 - Sun 18 April
InFocus supports young people with vision impairments and additional needs to build confidence, independence, and skills for life.
Every day, I have the privilege of seeing our students achieve things they never thought possible.
At our big end of year celebration, I was reminded just how much our young people accomplish in a year. Despite facing challenges such as losing access to their specialist pool, having to unexpectedly relocate when two of our boilers failed in January and coping with extreme heatwaves this summer, they have continued to thrive, learn, and enjoy every day.
One of the things that I love about my job is supporting each young person to take small steps towards big achievements. It is a genuine privilege to build those connections, helping them to communicate what they need to the world and celebrating their successes.
If you’re able to support me, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter the size, will help InFocus to support and empower the young people I work with every day, to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
