So in just about 6 months time I'll be hitting the big 5-0! That is relevant as some will think what I'm about to do is pretty stupid but those that know me well will just say here we go again. As some will know just before Covid hit in in 2019 I signed up for a charity boxing event! Wellllllllllllll................................ at the ripe old age of nearly 50 I will be entering the squared circle again!

There is many reasons for this but most are health related. After my fight in 2019 I was probably the fittest and healthiest I have been since my 20s but Covid hit and life got in the way I had my accident and have not been able to train since. I am pretty ashamed to say that today I am the heaviest I have ever been 😞 and while in Dubai I made a bet with a friend and colleague Chris Billington that we would weigh in now and again at our management meeting in August the winner gets (to be decided). I hate to lose a bet and I need a target and timescale so the fight will be in eight weeks time 21st of July. I have also picked a different charity that's close to home and for whom I volunteered during Covid . Lifesavers Scotland
