Pilgrimage 2025 · 23 May 2025 to 26 May 2025 ·

The 35th 74-mile Annual Pilgrimage organised by The Connection at St. Martins, walking from St. Martins in London to Canterbury Cathedral is on. The walk will be taken place in late May Bank Holiday Weekend (Friday 23rd May - Monday 26th May 2025).

Story

Thirty five years ago I joined the very first four day Pilgrimage from London to Canterbury, raising awareness of homelessness and also funds for social care at St Martins. This awareness hit me personally when I found myself walking out of London with a woman who had lived on the streets for the last seven years.

Those four days changed my worldview. My working life since, helping people see that we live on a living, breathing planet, can in part be traced back to that first pilgrimage.

So now, after just completing (I hope on 15th May) the 630 mile South West Coast path I am attempting to do it again. I will be walking 74 miles over four days from London to Canterbury from 23rd to 26th May supporting what is now called the Connection at St Martin-in-the-fields.

Please support me and St Martins by donating on this page or, as in the old days, agreeing to sponsor me for XXX per mile. I do aim to walk the full 74 miles but who knows...
