Story
On October 18th, 2025, my brother and I, along with friends, will take on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge — climbing Snowdon, Cadair Idris, and Pen y Fan within 24 hours. We’re doing this in memory of our dadcu, who passed away in February, and to raise money for Waldenström’s Macroglobulinaemia UK (WMUK) — the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by this rare and currently incurable form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
This cause is deeply personal to us. Our dad — my right arm and best friend — has been diagnosed with WM, a rare blood cancer that affects white blood cells. Despite starting chemotherapy, he remains incredibly positive and continues to make us laugh every day. We’re already so proud of how he’s facing it. Dad has spent over 40 years as a surgeon treating people with cancer — now it’s our turn to support him.
Although WM is rare, its impact on those diagnosed — and their families — is life-changing. WMUK’s vision is for everyone living with WM to have a long and good quality of life, supported at every stage. They provide expert information, fund vital research, and offer personal support to help patients and their loved ones live well with this condition.
Your support will make a real difference. Every donation — no matter the size — helps raise awareness, improve care, and bring hope to families like ours.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support.
