From the age of 6 until I was 9 years old I was sexually abused and raped by my older brother in my family home. Four years ago in the June of 2022 I finally got justice, I put my abuser behind bars after long and traumatic court proceedings. I was lost and felt alone in my trauma, that was until I found Rape Crisis Grampian.

Through working with the team at RCG I have managed to turn my life around, start healing and looking toward a future, my future, which is something I would’ve never dreamed of four years ago.

RCG have been a massive help to my life and healing journey, and while I can never repay them, I hope this fundraiser will ensure other survivors have the same positive experiences as I did navigating a very uncomfortable and distressing time.
