I'm completing hours... and hours... of physical exercise this summer :)

Swim 13 or 26 · 1 June 2025 to 1 November 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Sooo, half the first month done!
Here's an update on my progress so far:
When I started this challenge, my aim was to swim 13 miles in open water. I did the typical ADHD thing of jumping right in without considering that the weather and jelly fish season might hinder my progress.
That has been the case, but I am undeterred. I have spoken to the charity and we agreed that I would complete a certain number of hours of physical exercise instead, over the original two-month period.
Here's the thing. In recent months, something marvellous has happened. I have become one of those people who loves to work out! On top of the dog walking time I was already doing, I love nothing more these days than to roll my mat out and get all sweaty and lobster-faced, bending and twisting and planking and lifting my weights. I love it! I'm following a programme with a PT recommended by my friend and whenever I feel stressed or tense, I roll out my mat and get moving.
So, from June 1st to yesterday, 15th, I completed an average of 103 minutes a day of exercise. Some of it of the sweaty variety and some of it stretching or walking with my best boys Al, Dougal & Milo.
I am going to err on the side of caution and set a daily average target of 90 minutes, 5 days a week. To allow for recovery days and ensure I don't injure myself. My main activities will be HIIT workouts, strength training, swimming when I can and of course walking.
here's the lowdown about the fabulous charity I'm supporting:
FareShare takes good-to-eat surplus food, which is unsold or unwanted, and helps get it to one million people across the UK. With 1 in 6 people worried about where their next meal is coming from, this makes a huge difference, changing lives every day.
Thank you for any support you can provide. It means a huge amount to me.
If you haven't already donated and would like to, that would be fantaastic :)
