Story

I am taking part in this challenge by walking 100 km in March 'To Holles Street & Home', in aid of the NMH Foundation, helping women and babies, thrive, arrive, survive!

Cian and I welcomed our beautiful baby girl Sadhbh on 15th June last year. After a straight forward pregnancy, her entry into the world took a bit of a turn and became an emergency situation. She was born quite unwell with meconium aspiration syndrome and spent the first 9 days of her life in the care of the NICU team in The National Maternity hospital.

The care she received and the kindness shown to us during that stressful time was amazing. We were very conscious that most of the families in the NICU with us were there for a much longer period of time and we felt very lucky and grateful to be able to take her home so soon.

We will be forever grateful for the care and kindness that the staff in The National Maternity Hospital showed to our family and would like to support the NMF to continue to support and care for babies, mothers and their families.
