Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Justgiving page. Following on from my challenge of completing the London Marathon, I am embarking on a further massive challenge at the end of May 2023 by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. I never would have imagined that I would ever participate in such an amazing and nerve racking adventure especially as I don’t like heights but here I am! I have been training and working hard to ensure I have every opportunity in succeeding.

Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s tallest mountain at about 5,895 meters (19,340 feet). It is the largest free-standing mountain rise in the world, meaning it is not part of a mountain range.I am hoping to reach the summit and conquer all my fears along with the altitude sickness!

I have decided to raise money on behalf of the Hope Appeal, who work tirelessly to provide support for orphans who on a daily basis face their own challenges. We can only imagine their hardship from the loss and instability they face in their childhood. I appreciate your help and support with raising money for such a worthy charity. This trip is all self funded and any money raised will go to The Hope Appeal. I hope to make you all proud by reaching the summit!
