On Sunday 21 September, Ione (my wife) and and I are walking 10km for St Bartholomew’s Hospital – a place that has become very important to us.

Ione is due to have a heart operation at St Bart’s soon, and we are experiencing first-hand the incredible work this hospital does for patients and families. When we heard about this walk, it felt like the perfect way to give something back, together.

St Bart’s is not just the oldest hospital in Britain – it’s also one of the most advanced. The care, dedication, and kindness shown by the NHS staff here is life-changing, and we want to help support them in any way we can.

Barts Charity goes above and beyond for families in East London—funding pioneering research, supporting NHS staff, and helping to refurbish wards across the five hospitals of Barts Health Trust with state-of-the-art equipment.
