Story
As part of our ongoing efforts to reinforce school values in our Year 4 children, we are excited to introduce a sponsorship initiative focused on the values of kindness, resilience, and responsibility as part of the end of term objective which is ‘sponsorship’. This term we have linked our history topic of Anglo Saxons with Hill End, where, as you know, we have just returned from our residential. Hill End is currently raising money to develop their accommodation buildings to ensure that this fabulous provision can continue. More information can be found here

We would love for you to get involved by noticing and supporting your child when they demonstrate these values at home. Every time you observe your child showing kindness, resilience, or taking responsibility, please make a note of the example on the sponsorship form. For each instance you spot, we kindly ask that you sponsor your child with a 50p contribution. Examples might include your child showing kindness by helping a younger sibling with their reading, or carrying out small acts of thoughtfulness, like writing a kind note or offering to help without being asked. They are also learning to show resilience - practising new skills, or coping calmly when things don’t go as planned. Additionally, children could take greater responsibility for their daily routines, such as packing their own school bag or completing household tasks independently. These everyday moments are important steps in building confident, considerate, and capable young people.
This initiative will run until the 1st June, and it’s an opportunity to celebrate your child’s positive actions and encourage them to continue demonstrating these important values.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us nurture a positive and values-driven learning environment for all our Year 4 children. We look forward to hearing about the fantastic examples of kindness, resilience, and responsibility over the coming weeks!
