Apache & Present Made will be raising money for St Mungos (Charity of the Year) through various events and challenges.

St Mungo’s provides a bed and support to more than 3,150 people a night who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions.

Story

Ending homelessness one metre at a time.

Apache and Present Made have selected St Mungo’s, one of the UK’s leading homelessness charities, as their Charity of the Year for 2023.  By supporting St Mungo’s the firm will be raising funds to help prevent homelessness and support people at every step of their recovery. According to research in January 2023, at least 271,000 people are recorded as experiencing homelessness*.

St Mungo’s work to prevent people becoming homeless, support people who are sleeping on the streets into secure accommodation and then provide them with the services they need to rebuild their lives once they are there, and after.  In 2022, St Mungos supported 24,935 people who were homeless, or at risk of homelessness, 5,490 people were supported by their outreach teams and almost 3,000 were provided with housing and support on any given night.

To help St Mungo’s continue the incredible work they are doing and helping to reduce homelessness, the Apache and Present Made teams will be cycling 271,000 metres (168 miles) on 2 exercise bikes on 20 September 2023, each bike metre representing a person without a home.  We are aiming to reach the target distance on each exercise bike within 12 hours and our initial fundraising target is £2,710 (with great ambition to at least double this!).

Please donate what you can to help St Mungo’s continue their life changing work:

- £10 could help buy a month's phone credit so clients can stay connected to our vital services, receiving ongoing support and reconnect with loved ones

- £30 could help provide councelling to support the mental health of someone who is homeless

- £100 could help buy a computer at a hostel, enabling residents to learn IT skills or apply for jobs
