Sleep Out. Wear Red. Change Lives.
On Friday 9 October 2026, Apex Housing Association (Apex) is inviting its staff, tenants and residents to come together raise awareness of homelessness and raise vital funds for Simon Community NI – Northern Ireland’s leading homelessness charity.
A team of Apex staff will take part in an overnight Sleep Out at Apex's head office in Derry~Londonderry, spending a night outdoors in solidarity with those who experience homelessness and housing insecurity. While we recognise that one night can never truly reflect the reality faced by people without a safe place to call home, we hope it will encourage conversation, understanding and action.
At the same time, staff, tenants and residents across Apex’s offices and supported living schemes are invited to take part in a Wear Red Day. By wearing something red and donating whatever you can, you’ll be helping Simon Community NI in its mission to end homelessness.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Simon Community NI continue providing support, advice and accommodation services to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
