EDINBURGH MARATHON FESTIVAL

OUR STORY:

Dear all,

Greeting! வணக்கம்!

Deadly street drugs have become widely available with no shortage in Tamil-populated North-East Sri Lanka within the last few years. Innocent school students, are the main target of drug traffickers and every parent fears their children being drawn into drug addiction.

In response to the soaring rates of drug use in the youth, JMFOA(Jaffna Medical Faculty Overseas Alumni), with doctors from the North and East, is implementing 'the substance use prevention program' for all schools and increasing rehabilitation facilities for those affected.

This is a worldwide fundraising activity jointly by KILI PEOPLE and JMFOA.

The money raised would be used

''SAY NO TO DRUGS'' and

''GO GREEN GLOBE'' projects.

கடந்த சில வருடங்களாக தமிழ் மக்கள் வாழும் வடக்கு-கிழக்கு இலங்கையில் கொடிய போதை மருந்துகள் தட்டுப்பாடு இல்லாமல் பரவலாகக் கிடைக்கின்றன. அப்பாவி பள்ளி மாணவர்கள், போதைப்பொருள் கடத்தல்காரர்களின் முக்கிய இலக்காக உள்ளனர், மற்றும் ஒவ்வொரு பெற்றோரும் தங்கள் குழந்தைகள் போதைக்கு அடிமையாகிவிடுவார்கள் என்று அஞ்சுகின்றனர்.
