April's fundraiser for Duchenne UK

April Rebecca is raising money for Duchenne UK

Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 · 11 October 2026 ·

As the leading Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) charity in the UK, we want to find effective treatments for DMD and end its devastating impact. We’re going further than anyone has before, and we’re doing it faster, because this generation of people living with DMD can’t wait.

Story

Round three… because apparently I don’t learn. 🤦🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

I’ve already survived a FULL marathon and a half marathon for my son, Remi, so naturally I’ve signed up for another half. Why? Honestly, your guess is as good as mine. 🤣

The truth is, I’d do anything for this boy.

Remi has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a cruel condition that slowly takes away muscle strength. Every mile I’ve run has been for him, and every mile I run now will be too. Duchenne UK is funding vital research and supporting families like ours, giving us hope for a better future for boys living with this disease.

So, if you’d like to sponsor me while I wheeze my way through 13.1 miles, question every life choice and regret agreeing to this all over again, I’d be so grateful.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, really does make a difference.

Please donate if you can. Share if you can’t. And send a little prayer for my knee & hip. ❤️

For Remi. Always.
