Story

🏅 The Yorkshire Broker Walk, Run, Ride Challenge for The Prince of Wales Hospice 🏅

This April, The Yorkshire Broker is launching the TYB Walk, Run, Ride Challenge to raise vital funds for The Prince of Wales Hospice—a place that provides incredible care to those facing life-limiting illnesses.

I’m Martin Weaver-Parker, Managing Director of The Yorkshire Broker, and this cause is very close to my heart. My gran, Pauline, spent her final weeks at the hospice, where I witnessed first-hand the compassion, dignity, and support they offer to patients and their families. It’s because of this amazing care that I want to give back and help ensure others receive the same.

What’s the Challenge?

We’re inviting you to Walk, Run, or Ride 25, 50, 75, or 100 miles throughout April. This challenge is for everyone—whether you:

- Want to get moving and improve your health

- Are a family looking for a fun challenge together

- Want to train for the Pontefract 10k

- Want to use it as a team-building exercise

- Are looking to challenge yourself and push your limits

- Or simply want to support an incredible cause

- Why Your Support Matters

The Prince of Wales Hospice provides specialist care for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families in the Five Towns area of Wakefield District. They support around 900 local people each year.

Every donation and fundraising effort goes directly to helping the hospice continue its vital work for the community.
