Story
This year, AquaKidz is making a splash for charity by entering two teams into the Rotary Woking Swimathon — a fantastic local event that brings together swimmers of all ages to raise money for great causes.
Since it began, the Woking Swimathon has inspired hundreds of swimmers from across the area. Each year, over 300 participants take part, collectively swimming the equivalent of crossing the English Channel several times over and raising more than £10,000 for a number of charities including, Woking & Sam Beare Hospices and Woking Community First Responders.
For our AquaKidz swimmers, this event is a wonderful challenge and a big step up. Most of our swimmers are used to the comfort of our 10m pool in Lightwater, so taking on the 25m pool at Woking is a huge achievement in itself! It’s an exciting opportunity for them to put their skills into practice, grow in confidence, and be part of something bigger — all while helping others.
Our supportive AquaKidz teachers will be swimming too, encouraging our young swimmers every stroke of the way and making sure it’s a fun, positive experience for everyone.
Your encouragement and donations will mean so much to the swimmers as they take on this challenge, and every pound raised goes towards fantastic charitable causes supported by the Rotary Woking Swimathon.
💙 Please sponsor our AquaKidz swimmers today and help them make a splash for charity!
